Halsetown Inn

Now well and truly established in the culinary firmament with a Bib Gourmand, three Gold awards from Taste of the West, and listings in most major guides.
This welcoming pub, with log fires and murals, celebrates local producers. It uses rare breed pork, fabulous beef and lamb from Trevaskis Farm, wonderful chicken from The Cornish Chicken Company in Morvah and stunning handline-caught fish from the Wild Harbour Fish Company.
The ales, lagers and ciders are all produced within Cornwall.
Partner and Head Chef Ange Baxter seeks to combine great Cornish produce and her knowledge of South Asian cuisine with comfort and ease. Along with their ethos of sustainability this culminates in her own quirky take on traditional pub food.
Trevaskis beef is seared and served Japanese style with crispy noodles and broth. Jerusalem artichoke, kale and feta empanadas are a refreshing take on a pasty. Follow this with Cornish mussels puttanesca or red curry with Terras Farm duck, green mango and pear salad, rice and greens.
Hence the overarching philosophy ‘Real pub, thoughtful food’.
As with its sister St Ives restaurant, Blas Burgerworks,The Halsetown uses 100% renewable electricity and follows a strict environmental policy. Even all their office supplies come from the Green Stationery Company.

Summer opening - every day, 11am - 11pm. Food 12 noon - 2pm and 6 - 9pm (closed Sun evenings); Winter opening - please see website.
