St Ewe Eggs

St Ewe Eggs

A visit to the Cornwall Food and Farming Pavilion is always ‘a must’ at the Royal Cornwall Show and this year they are celebrating 25 years.  They began in a small tent with just 9 exhibitors in 1990 and now have three large and interlinked marquees housing 50 cornish food and drink businesses.

A special mention for the organisers, the Cornwall Food and Farming Group, who describe themselves as an ‘enthusiastic bunch of people from all walks of life – both rural and urban – working together to spread the appreciation of Cornish produce even wider than it is now.’ They have much to celebrate in their selfless dedication over the past 25 years.

Many of the exhibits at the show are manned by the owners of the business and they are more than happy to tell you about the motivation behind setting up the business and why they are so passionate about their products. Their energy, enthusiasm and pride in being part of the local Cornish food and drink scene is palpable. It makes for an exciting environment and these annual events have forged many connections  – Cornish Sea Salt for example can be found in many of the cornish products on show – try out Moomaid’s latest flavour ‘Shipwreck’ with caramel and cornish sea salt – yum !

There are too many great products to describe here but you’ll find the full list of exhibitors on the Royal Cornwall Show site, (see below)

It was St Ewe Eggs first time at the show and they wowed the judges with their great story, commitment to quality and passion for educating us about the humble egg. Their new ‘Boost the Roost’  red box range contains over 40% RDA of selenium which helps maintain a healthy immune system.
