Gylly Beach Café

Gylly Beach Café is an award- winning family run café and bar that provides the best locally-sourced food in a stunning setting. It is winner of two silver Cornwall Tourism Awards in the Café of the Year category. Right on the beautiful and gently sloping blue flag Gyllyngvase beach, the café has views across Falmouth Bay to the Pendennis Castle and the Lizard Peninsula.
Open throughout the day and throughout the year, the café is the ideal place to enjoy everything from a relaxing coffee with a home-made cake to a tasty lunchtime treat or evening meal. Seasonal, local and fresh ingredients are the key part of all the dishes, whether it’s the sausages from the local farm, organic ice cream from the cows on the Lizard Peninsula, or scallops from the local boats.
The young talented team of chefs find the best local ingredients and enjoy creating some good old seaside classics, and surprising you with subtle twists and interesting flavours.
Try the Gylly classics such as the locally sourced full Cornish breakfast or the signature Gylly burger or fantastic nachos. Or how about the home-made smoked mackerel fishcakes topped with a poached egg and hollandaise sauce? Pan roasted local sea bass fillet with Cornish crab crushed new potatoes, sweetstem broccoli, rainbow carrots, confit vine tomatoes with a lemon butter sauce.
The beach and its adjoining green flag gardens is an ideal day out for all the family, and Gylly Beach Café can cater for all those needs. There is a really relaxed ambience in the evening.
If it’s a bucket and spade or an organic Roskillys ice cream they care. Whatever the weather it’s worth a trip to the beach.

Open daily 9am ’til late. Call for winter opening times.
