The Old Sail Loft Restaurant
The Old Sail Loft offers imaginatively prepared dishes, showcasing local day boat- caught fresh fish and seafood served in one of the oldest buildings in Looe.
The restaurant stands on the quay overlooking the picturesque working harbour where you can sit and watch the fishing boats with their daily catch.
Owned and run by husband and wife Dominic and Michelle, with a young and enthusiastic team, they have been welcoming new and old customers for the last ten years. They also co-own Simply Fish Looe Ltd, situated just yards away on the quay, so you can be sure of the highest quality fresh fish from the daily market.
Dominic leads a brigade of dedicated chefs with inspiring menus for the fish lover, carnivore or vegetarian. They always offer a warm welcome and impeccable service from Michelle and the front of house team.
The atmosphere in the 450 year old Sail Loft is relaxed and nostalgic. Overhead you can see the old oak timbers, some salvaged from shipwrecks.
Relax downstairs in the cosy bar with a bottle of wine from the well-stocked cellar, or take a seat on the cobbled outside seating area overlooking the harbour.
It is a favourite venue for many of Looe’s food and music festivals. You can also have your own event with state of the art sound and lighting system, personalised menus to co-ordinate your evening just the way you want it.
All ingredients are sourced locally, with bread baked fresh on the premises daily, home-made parfaits and puddings – and some of the most flavoursome vegetables from Henry’s garden just three miles down the road.
Open all year. Call for Winter opening times. Can cater for any specific dietary needs.
