Atishoo Designs Gallery
Situated in the World Heritage village of Charlestown, Atishoo Gallery celebrated ten years at that location in 2013. It is owned and run by artist couple Liz Hackney and Paul Clark. Liz founded Atishoo in 1997 as a studio to sell her artwork, which uses textured and dyed tissue – the gallery name is a play on the words ‘Art Tissue’.
Paul has exhibited his bright and quirky canvases of Cornish harbours for over twenty years, and now has a range of prints of his paintings.
They also exhibit arts and crafts by more than 80 other artists, all British based, filling two floors of the converted barn. This includes paintings by David Axtell, Alan Arthurs, Jane Winton and Kit Johns, pottery by Phillip Gardiner, Jane Marks and Sarah Nicol, textiles by Sophie Harding and Janet Croome, and jewellery by Koa, Sarah Drew and Jenna Perryman.
An online shop has been launched. Liz and Paul have 25 years experience in bespoke picture framing.
