The Exchange
Offering a wide and varied exhibition programme across its two sites, the galleries present contemporary work in all media by regional, national and international artists, with a supporting programme of events.
To begin 2016 The Exchange is focussing on video work: Citadel by David Blandy runs until 16 April, and is followed by Vertigo Sea, John Akomfrah’s acclaimed video installation. In addition to the main exhibition space at The Exchange, there is The Engine Room, which shows short duration projects and exhibitions with an emphasis on collaboration and community.
Both venues have a café serving snacks and light lunches, as well as
a well-stocked shop selling books, cards, jewellery and gifts. Well behaved dogs on leads welcome.
